Flags flying in Llangoed, Wales

  • Llangoed Village Hall Beaumaris, Wales, LL58 8NY United Kingdom (map)

Plas Bodfa , a cultural centre on Anglesey, have been leading on enabling flags to fly again at the Llangoed Village Hall. To celebrate harvest time, eleven specially designed flags will be flown there. I am delighted to announce, my design Flag for my father will be included in the collection. I think it may speak to people about loss and letting go.

Flag for my father features my confetti people and refers to my poem ‘Peace Garden’ as seen in my collections - Confetti. Having once lived in Wales, I am super happy to have been allowed to take part. I also really like the idea that this flag will fly high animated by the wind, pointing in the many directions of places where my father once lived, marking his migrant journey from Northern Ireland, to Glasgow, Yorkshire, Kings Lynn and South East to London.
