Where nature meets culture

My paintings are driven by my finds and the objects I encounter on my journeys. I play with vibrant colour and experimental mark making, allowing the image to find its own presence out of the creative process. For Untitled 2026, I will be exhibiting a specially curated show called ‘Where nature meets culture’ featuring the acrylic on linen paintings from my series ‘In between’, featuring (now lost) East German allotments. Included in this exhibition are drawings of plants from my series ‘Plantfolio’, along with an assortment of cards and flies !

Presented by the ‘Psychopomp Project’ based in Seattle, connecting worldwide, the multi-disciplinary project TELEPHONE, assigns anonymously the work of one artist to the next one, who then translates what they see, as a ‘whispered artwork’. Once translated, the artist then uploads their work, to be passed on.

Cosmic Wave workshop, Hannover

In this workshop we will work with coloured inks and pencil to explore drawing as a kind of mediation. We will look at how energy is transmitted in media, observe the influence of gravity on materials and use the discipline of repetitive mark making to create cosmic wave drawings.

In the later part of the workshop we will explore the idea of chance to make abstract automatic drawings, which will enable your own individual signature and creative interpretation.
